Matrix Recruitment Group is currently seeking a Quality Systems Manager to be based in Wicklow . As the Quality Systems Manager you will work for our client, a Food company, in a contract job. As a Quality Systems Manager you will be responsible for the management of the Quality Systems team and provide skilled technical support to the Quality team, Production Streams and R&D/NPI functions. Key Responsibilities. Lead the team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and team work. Build trust through effective leadership and the skilled application of people management processes and open two way communications. Liaise on site with the R&D and NPI team on site quality/technical requirements in relation to new or existing products. Check that standards set within the Quality function are adhered to through layered confirmation. Manage Factory Audits. Lead out the Quality Systems section of any external audits on site. To verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice. Incident Investigations - Manage the resolution and close out of issues/incidents which have been identified as part of the audit process. Project Management - To engage in site projects as a team member on the projects or as a Project Manager. Develop and Maintain Quality Training Programme. Essential Criteria. Diploma or higher in a Food Science related subject. Relevant experience in a Food Manufacturing operation. Experience of managing a team. Understanding and ability to apply the principles and tools of lean manufacturing. Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. Understanding of key elements of the product launch process. Knowledge of the BRC Global Food Standard. Our highly experienced consultants are here to help find the right job for you.
