General Summary. Reporting to the store owner, the Store Manager of this busy Supermarket storeis responsible for the efficient management of all store functions including budget, store condition, proper inventory levels, food safety requirements, equipment maintenance and training of store staff. Proactively manages labour efficiency to ensure accurate inventory, selection and display of product in the most cost effective manner. Manage and contingent plan inventory, quality standards and associate staffing. Develops supervisory staff and provide leadership as well as serve as an operational resource expert. Main Duties and Responsibilities. Manage store according to budget. Achieve targeted margin on all products whilst ensuring price lists in circulation are always current. Responsible for maintaining high standards related to the physical condition of store and equipment. Responsible for the development and training store supervisors & Staff. Plans when necessary for daily and weekly production activities. Ensure all food safety compliance. Recruit store staff according to business needs. Proactively improve staff relationships. Ensure consistent and timely use of SEL’s and POS Displays throughout the store to promote product and achieve sales. Other duties and special projects as requested. The ideal Candidate will have. Have at least 2/3 years Grocery Retail. Management experience at senior level. Have experience in fresh food retailing. Be comfortable with working on own initiative. Be very proactive & bring new thinking to the role. Have experience in staff management, control & motivation. Be familiar with HACCP. Be customer focused & work to best practice retailing to achieve top class standards. Have a business background that is target driven & focused on Sales, Margin & managing overheads. Ability to give clear directions and set expectations for staff. Excellent organisational skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Self-motivated. Able to train and delegate effectively. Ability to problem solve. Ability to work with team. Apply.
