We now have a requirement for a Manufacturing Supervisor/Production Group Leader to join our team in Kerry Foods, Shillelagh, Co Wicklow. This role primarily operates over 4.30pm - 12.30am shifts Monday through to Friday. Are you passionate about getting the most from your teams? Role Responsibilities: Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be part of a large team that will lead members to ensure they are engaged and high performing through skills assessment, training, feedback and support. Build sustainability through people. Facilitate and execute continuous improvement and encourage lean processes on site. Cover essential elements of Manager and Team Leader Role in the event of unplanned absence. As part of a wider project team assist and manage the delivery of key projects that have an impact on the value stream. Conduct risk assessment on all processes and tasks in the value stream, Coordinate shift maintenance activities in conjunction with engineering team. To be successful in the role of Production Group Leader you will need to be an experienced supervisor within the food manufacturing or similar industry and possess knowledge of lean processes and problem solving techniques. Requirements: Experience of managing a team in a process environment. Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of lean manufacturing. Knowledge & understanding of manufacturing processes. Understanding of the people processes needed to build high performing teams. The ability to identify and actively plan improvements. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be successful in a changing environment. Key Skills: Team facilitation/coaching. Influencing Skills. Able to meet deadlines. Analytical skills.
