In this important role, you will help our client to achieve their ambitions by maintaining their reputation for providing world-class products. As a QC Biochemist, you’ll be responsible for the testing and overall quality control of our client’s manufactured products, including their lateral flow and clinical chemistry products. Working on a designated product portfolio, you’ll act as the subject matter expert for QC testing and ensure that products meet quality specifications. Specifically, your duties will involve: - Ensuring that all QC results are in trend prior to the approval of products. - Managing, reviewing and improving trending techniques. - Facilitating OOS (Out Of Specification) AND NC (Non-Conformance) investigations. - Reviewing, revising and creating documentation. - Carrying out all tasks in-line with company procedures. To be considered, you’ll need: - At least one year’s experience as a biochemist within the in vitro diagnostics industry or similar, including laboratory experience. - Demonstrable proficiency in statistical and/or trending techniques. - A degree (or equivalent) in biological and/or biomedical sciences, microbiology and biotechnology, biochemistry or chemistry. Self-motivated and inquisitive, as a QC Biochemist, you’ll be a clear communicator with excellent attention to detail. Eager to learn and enhance your knowledge, you’ll also have superb organisational and prioritisation skills. Ideally, you’ll have experience in an HPRA and/or FDA regulatory environment, but this is by no means essential.
