FRS Recruitment are currently sourcing an experienced Supply Chain professional for our client based in Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow. Responsible for the provision and management of an effective order fulfilment, supply chain and logistics service to timber, panels and biomass customers. Ensure customer commitments are fully met through sufficient production and effective delivery planning and that the revenue recognition process operates effectively. This is a key leadership and people management role which will involve motivating and developing people to realise their full potential. Supply Chain Strategy. Understand and develop the optimum position within the forest supply chain. Develop a supply chain team and process to support the sale of 2.8m, m3 and flexible to adjust to changing demands. Provide thought leadership in applying the best technologies in the harvesting, haulage, and measurement systems to develop an effective and efficient supply chain. Create supply chain strategies with the operations team to meet customer requirements. Order Fulfilment, Supply Chain and Logistics. Manage the optimum route to market which best meets needs of our customers. Manage and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure roadside stocks are at optimum levels. Develop and manage our logistics system that presently delivers nearly one million m3 of roundwood to customers. Actively drive down stock levels (working capital. Deliver a centralised despatch system for haulage. Customer Focus. Ensure key customer commitments are managed and delivered. Manage Biomass customers and depots. Act as the voice of the customer to the operations team and ensure any customer issues. Operational Efficiency. Continuously analyse performance and cost data to monitor performance of haulage and logistics providers and plan service improvements and cost reduction strategies. Drive a strong timber security and access system across the estate. Ensure haulage costs are managed within budget. People, Leadership, Organisation and Culture. Create a culture of high performance in the team with high motivation levels. through effective use of our performance management and reward systems. Simplify business processes to reduce complexity to our customers and allow our people to do their best work. Actively promote and prioritise a safe working environment for our people, our contractors and customers in our forest estate. Develop a strong, vibrant and competitive contractor base. Create a strong customer focus within the Division and be the voice of the customer. Develop strong collaboration with the Forest operations team to ensure production matches with customer needs. Desired Technical/Professional Competencies: Education and Experience: Relevant qualification in Business, Economics or a Forestry related discipline with a minimum of five year's experience. Sales/Marketing: Deep knowledge and experience of working in a customer facing environment, particularly in B2B markets and with commodity products. Commercial and Financial Acumen: Knowledge to manage top-line and bottom-line financials to maintain profitability and value.
