What you need to know. We are seeking a Supply Chain Lead for our client, a forestry company based in Wicklow . As the Supply Chain Lead, you will be responsible for the management of an effective order fulfilment, supply chain and logistics service to customers. This is a key leadership position which involves motivating and developing people to realise their full potential. This is a permanent role with a salary of circa €66k – €72k plus benefits. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Operations team to create supply chain strategies. Continuously analyse performance and cost data to monitor performance of haulage and logistics providers and plan service improvements and cost. Develop and manage a supply chain and logistics team and process for a fast-paced environment and to meet customer demands. Create a culture of high performance in the team with high motivation levels through effective use of our performance management and reward systems. Actively promote and prioritise a safe working environment for employees, contractors and customers. Simplify business processes to reduce complexity to our customers and allow our people to do their best work. Create a strong customer focus within the division and be the voice of the customer. Manage the optimum route to market which best meets needs of the customers. Ensure customer commitments are fully met through sufficient production and effective delivery planning and that the revenue recognition process operates effectively. Actively drive down stock levels (working capital. Deliver a centralised despatch system for haulage and ensure all haulage costs are within budget. What are we looking for? Relevant qualification in Business, Economics or a Forestry related discipline with a minimum of five years’ experience. Strong leadership skills with at least 2 years people management experience. Capable of working in a fast-faced environment and encouraging high performance from direct report. Deep knowledge and experience of working in a customer facing environment, particularly in B2B markets and with commodity products. Knowledge to manage top-line and bottom-line financials to maintain profitability and value. Knowledge and experience of managing supply chain and logistics and the role of technologies to drive efficiencies. Experience and capability to increase efficiencies and manage change.
